14 AI Blogs You Should Know About and Learn From

We recently wrote an article on 35 free online courses to get started on your AI journey. Online and in-person education is essential to becoming a better data scientist, machine learning researcher or other AI professional. However, another great resource freely available to everyone is an organization's blog.

Industry leaders around the world freely share advances in AI research, muse on possible improvements or different ways of doing things, provide open source code to test and train on, and provide other information and data to inspire collaboration that can help drive innovative thought in our rapidly growing technological world.

We've put together a list of some of the best AI blogs: from companies everyone has heard of, to a couple that may be new to you. Take a look below.

DeepMind

DeepMind is a UK based AI company acquired by Google in 2014. They are also best known for AlphFold, their cutting edge innovation in protein folding that aims to revolutionize the medical industry. Read the latest articles and stories from DeepMind and find out more about their latest breakthroughs in cutting-edge AI research:

ODSC

ODSC (Open Data Science Conference) brings together data science professionals and AI leaders from around the world with virtual and in-person conferences, training sessions and workshops. They write and curate information on AI and data science fields that cover the spectrum between people looking for general overviews, to code based examples and solutions. Also, thanks to insights from their own researchers and people participating in their conferences, ODSC also stays on tops of trends in AI fields. Browse the articles on their website, or look through their Categories to find information that interests you:

Hugging Face

Hugging Face came on the scene in 2016 and has become the undisputed leader in advancing language and text processing (anything related to NLP). They have a large community and freely share what they've learned about Transformers and other state of the art models for natural language processing. With over 5,000 organizations using Hugging Face, the information they offer is well worth diving into (plus they have a free course to help get you started!):

TensorFlow

TensorFlow is an end-to-end open source machine learning platform, and one of the most popular (the other being PyTorch). Their blog contains regular news from the TensorFlow team and the community, with articles on Python, TensorFlow.js, TF Lite, TFX, and more. If you use TensorFlow, the blog is an essential resource to keep you up-to-date with the latest happenings, and a great place to help find answers to any questions you have (or problems you face). PyTorch

Like TensorFlow, PyTorch is the other BIG machine learning platform that anyone in AI has heard of or used. In fact, many researchers and developers tend to use both platforms for different things, so picking one over the other isn't the norm (although they usually use one more than the other). PyTorch is an open source machine learning framework that accelerates the path from research prototyping to production deployment. Naturally, the PyTorch blog is focused on everything related to PyTorch and also a great place to find answers to any questions you have, or view the latest news. You can view the PyTorch blog here:
